HISTORY

Hospice House was originally founded in 2006 by the Visiting Nurse Association of Monroe County. It provided end of life care for the people of Monroe County for twelve years before it shut down in 2018. Its closure was met with protests. After overwhelming community support through multiple fundraisers, Hospice House was reopened in September 2019 with the commitment that it would provide end of life care today, tomorrow, and always.
